Initially, Mahant Narain Singh started a small rice retailing business under the name M/s Sadhu Singh Gurdip Singh in Amritsar (India). Since the beginning the main focus has been given to quality of rice and because of that today Sadhu Rice is accepted worldwide.
Today, the firm has one of the largest milling capacity with two state-of-the-art factories in Punjab. In 1999 the company diversified its business and opened a Parboiled plant (Sella) in Amritsar, fitted with modern machinery under the name M/s Mahant Overseas. 90% production of the plant is exported to different countries like America, South Africa, UAE, UK, Bangladesh, SriLanka, Singapore. The combined production capacity of all the plants is more than 20MT per hour.
Currently, the company is headed by Mr. Khajinder Singh and Mr. Jit Pal Singh, both having experience in the trade of more than 25 years. Both have been largely responsible for the worldwide acceptence that the company's products enjoy both in domestic as well as international market.
The company always aimed at producing best quality rice at low price and that is why we keep on adding new and updated machinery and replacing the old ones. The company also imports machinery from UK, Thailand, Korea and Germany.
